Private Yoga Instruction

Private yoga sessions are the most effective way to establish a firm foundation in the yoga practice. With individual attention, students are able to explore the alignment and foundation of the poses in a more thorough way than is usual in a group setting.

Individual sessions are a wonderful introduction for those who are brand new to the yoga practice, and who may be hesitant to begin classes in a group setting. Private sessions also provide an excellent opportunity for more experienced yogis to move more deeply into their relationship with the practice of yoga and to explore new poses at their own pace.

Each session is tailored to your needs, and will match your physical and emotional levels on any given day. When you have a lot of energy, a flowing Vinyasa practice may be right for you. On the days you feel like you need some rest and relaxation, a gentle restorative practice, with some reflexology, may be the perfect way to heal and unwind.

Corporate Yoga Instruction

Corporate yoga can be an inexpensive and valuable tool in helping to reduce stress, raise office moral, and increase the health and well-being of employees. Corporate yoga classes are a fun way to encourage work/life balance and allow employees to bond on a more casual level. Classes can be held in conference rooms, lunchrooms and large offices or in almost any open space.

Following are the styles of yoga I teach:

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a flowing style of yoga that focuses on the connection of breath and movement and can become almost like a moving meditation. Vinyasa is an excellent way to increase flexibility, build strength, cultivate body awareness, and calm the mind. Vinyasa yoga can easily be tailored to students of all levels.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a nurturing style of yoga that promotes deep relaxation. The restorative practice is a very effective way to induce a state of both physical and mental ease. Restorative yoga incorporates the use of blankets, bolsters, and blocks, which support the body in restful poses and encourage a state of overall peace.

Prenatal Yoga

Women practice prenatal yoga in all stages of pregnancy. Not only does prenatal yoga encourage the body to regain its pre-pregnancy state after the baby is born, but it is a great way to increase strength and flexibility and to learn relaxation techniques as they apply to the birthing process.

Therapeutic Yoga

Therapeutic yoga integrates restorative yoga, gentle yoga, healing touch, breath work and guided meditation to create an environment that supports the body, mind and spirit in the process of healing. It is a gentle and supportive practice designed to guide us to a sense of wholeness. It is a wonderful practice for people who are dealing with stress and for those healing from injury or illness.
